A mysterious man who identifies himself as Mr. Lee begins repeatedly calling the boys, insisting that they do not hang up on him. Sam and Brady are initially indifferent until Mr. Lee reveals that he knows their names, addresses, and intimate details of their lives. Peyton delivers a pizza that Sam and Brady didn't order. Peyton reveals that Jeff disappeared after his earlier delivery. Sam and Peyton have an uncomfortable conversation about their relationship before Peyton leaves. Mr. Lee begins texting Sam and Brady in addition to calling. Video footage he sends them reveals that Mr. Lee is holding Brady's parents hostage at the Mannion residence. Mr. Lee prevents the boys from calling 911 by hijacking their cell phone lines. He also takes control of the house's electrical power. A video feed shows the masked Mr. Lee suffocating Roy to death with a plastic bag tied around his head. Sam finds Jeff similarly bound with a plastic bag and tied to the back door. Jeff dies soon after Sam cuts him loose.

While Sam is away, Mr. Lee makes Brady an offer to kill Sam in exchange for his parents' freedom. Mr. Lee sends footage showing that he captured Peyton. Sam deduces that Brady had a private conversation with Mr. Lee, leading to a fight between the two. Brady is knocked unconscious. Mr. Lee shows Sam live footage of Peyton held prisoner. He promises to let Peyton go if Sam kills Brady. Sam restrains Brady by securing his wrist to the banister with a zip tie to prevent him from leaving. A clue of a child's image and the name Izzy leads Sam to check a previously ignored social media friend request. The Izzy account reveals that Mr. Lee had been stalking the pranksters for over a year. Sam also finds a video revealing that Brady had been sleeping with Peyton. Sam beats Brady again.

Because only a true hero would have recognized the strength it took for Aaliyah to call and ask for help in the first place and admit that maybe she failed -- though I don't think Kidd did -- when she couldn't get through to Aaliyah during the first Girls on Fire meeting.

BOUNCE ANNOUNCES NEW ORIGINAL MOVIE STARRING WENDELL PIERCE & LAUREN HOLLY "DON'T HANG UP"TRUE-CRIME THRILLER BASED ON ACTUAL EVENTS SET FOR SPRING 2022 PREMIERE(October 28, 2021) - Bounce, the leading broadcast and multi-platform entertainment network serving African Americans, today announced the new original movie "Don't Hang Up," an action-thriller based upon real-life events starring Wendell Pierce ("The Wire," "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan") and Lauren Holly ("NCIS," "Picket Fences").The thriller revolves around Chris Daniels (Pierce), a husband and father whose life is upended when he gets a phone call that hurls him into a harrowing journey to save his family. Told his daughter has been taken hostage, Chris is ordered by the kidnappers to complete a series of missions to get her back, all while maintaining one deceptively simple rule: Don't hang up. Meanwhile, the growing number of unanswered texts and calls from his wife Tracy (Holly) leads to escalating fear and even police interference - which unwittingly puts the safe return of their daughter (Eden Cupid, "Umbrella Academy") in even greater jeopardy. "Don't Hang Up" is currently in production in Toronto and will world premiere on Bounce in the spring of 2022."We are elated to have Wendell Pierce and Lauren Holly in the starring roles of 'Don't Hang Up,' " said David Hudson, Head of Original Programming, Scripps Networks. "We are elevating our original programming with superlative artists in unique, high-quality, high-octane stories. This stellar cast will take writer William 'Byl' Caruthers' fantastic page-turner screenplay to incredible heights and 'Don't Hang Up' will be an edge-of-your-seat thriller.""As an actor, I always look for opportunities to do good work with good material. 'Don't Hang Up' is a film that meets this standard," said Pierce. "I've always wanted to do a thriller, where an ordinary man is thrown into an extraordinary situation. Based on a true story, it's evidence that sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.""Don't Hang Up" is being directed by J.B. Sugar ("Faith Heist," "Bitten") from a screenplay by Byl Caruthers and produced by Sugar and Ella Myers for No Equal Entertainment. Bounce (@bouncetv) programming is seen over-the-air, on cable, on DISH channel 359, over-the-top on Roku(R), on mobile devices via the Bounce and Brown Sugar apps, and on the web via BounceTV.com. Bounce features a programming mix of original series, docuseries and movies, off-network series, theatrical motion pictures, specials, live sports and events, and more. Bounce is part of The E.W. Scripps Company (NASDAQ: SSP).

"It's something that I normally don't get to do, so it was really fun to sink my teeth into it," Pierce said of his rare role in this type of psychological action-thriller. "It is a celebration of the love of a parent who would do anything to save their child."

Thousands of people who are Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, DeafBlind, or who have a speech difference call businesses and organizations like yours every day using the Vermont Relay Service. Often people hang up on Vermont Relay calls because they think a telemarketer is calling.

These hang-ups are frustrating for Deaf, DeafBlind,Hard-of-Hearing, and speech-disabled callers. But just as significant, they mean a loss of business and bad customer relations for the business or organization being called.
